I love when Russell has breaks from school. I kind of hate it too...We always have so much fun and the girls love having him around. But then there's always the inevitable breakdown(s) when he goes back. I'm not sure who has a harder time, Me, Hannah or Russell. It takes a while to get adjusted to real life again, but thank goodness I have great kids.We didn't do anything too exciting over his little break, but we had fun. Hannah went on lots of runs with Russ, I thought about running...Russ got to go mt. biking a few times, and I got to go to a movie with my friends. I always have so much fun with them, then I feel guilty for having so much fun cuz my kids are at home missing me, and Russ is with the kids...do any of you moms out there feel the same? Maybe I'm just weird. We just found out that my parents are coming to visit right after Labor Day!! It's their anniversary trip and i am so excited/grateful they are choosing to spend it with us!

I worry sometimes too when I'm gone. The more I leave the less guilty I feel. We moms need to get out and have free time too! I think maybe it's because I know what hard work it is and you feel like your burdening someone else with your job. Does that make sense?
I worried a lot when Parker was a baby....but, I realized that he would be taken care of and safe and that I needed time out without him. It is hard though, I remember leaving him with my parents and going to a movie and calling every half hour to make sure he was ok. I think it is normal to have those feelings, but we mom's need time too!!
I am thinking we BOTH need a girls night out together!!!
I am so excited to see you guys again. I always wished that we could have gotten to know each other better since we have the whole "Carbon County" connection. Now we will get our chance! Your girls are so cute. I think Regan and Hannah are about the same age?
I LOVE leaving my kids with my husband...He appreciates me more when I get back!! ha, ha, ha
It's good to have your own time. It's funny how just a little goes a long way!
I'm glad you THOUGHT about running...I would have done the same!
That's FUN your parents are coming to visit!...It's always nice to have Grandma and Grandpa around.
