A picture is worth a 1000 words

I know I just posted, put I wanted to share these super cute pics with you. She has decided that she loves to pose for us now, and these are the great shots we got on Mother's Day!!

She loves to make this face at us. She will laugh hysterically after she does it!

This is her "Think, Think, Think" pose
"I don't know!"

Waiting and Waiting and Waiting...

Ok...I am not a fan at all of this waiting game. Emma seems perfectly content staying just where she is. But I am pretty sure that Russ, Hannah, and I are much more entertaining than what she has going on now. I know I still have a week left, bu seriously? My mom was so right when she said that the Lord makes your last month miserable just so you will be more than ready to go through labor to get that baby here. We are so anxious to meet her, and it's still hard to imagine our lives with another little person in our home. So, to all you moms of more than one child out there, give me some advice on how to cope, and please let me know that I am not alone with these horrible feelings of guilt...Guilt that I am ruining Hannah's life by bringing another child home, guilt that she's not going to be my little baby anymore...I know it sounds completely ridiculous but I have shed more than one tear over this subject.

Some fun mother's day pics

Now, onto what actually is going on in our every day life. I had a completely fantastic mother's day. Russ has always gone above and beyond what is expected of a husband on this day. He is so sweet and thoughtful and creative. He and Hannah had so many fun surprises for me. The best was that he taught her "I often go walking" from the children's songbook and she sang it for me!! Of course I cried, for more than one reason. Hearing her sweet little voice sing it brought on the first round of tears, then thinking of how special that song has always been to my Grandma W. and memories of her singing it to me when I was little, brought on the second round. I know I am one big cry baby lately:) Another highlight was the fruit pizza russ made for me. For those of you who have never had this you are missing out. I told him he made it too perfect so he is required to make it from now on!
I know this is late, but I wanted to let my moms know how much I love them. I have been so blessed to have these two women in my life. I feel like I have so much to live up to as a mom because of the example they set for their children. I am privileged to have them as not only my moms, but as my friends!

Finally...It was father's and sons for our stake this past weekend, and seeing as Russ has no sons to speak of he took Hannah!! I think it is pretty dang cute! She is still young enough that I don't think any of the guys minded, plus she's too fun so how could you get made that she was there? All of her best friends are guys anyway, so she fits right in. They didn't stay overnight because I was too paranoid about going into labor...which didn't happen, but she loved being there for the campfire and all of the evenings festivities. While they were gone I got to enjoy my second girls night out in two weeks! I love the girls out here, who are all amazing, and who have all taken me under their wing. Almost all of us are in the same situation out here so that makes it nice to have people to share concerns and frustrations with. We had a blast hanging out at Sonic for two hours, and I am a little sad I didn't get to join in the slumber party!

There was some traumatic soccer ball incident involved here...hence the tears
Hannah and her BFF Calvin
And of course, what camping trip is complete without smores!

I think that covers it! I hope that my next post will bring you all much more exciting news!! We love you all and miss everyone!

Nice and Quiet

Hannah disappeared one morning while Russ and I were in the living room. We soon noticed that it was a little too quiet in our house and went to the kitchen and found Hannah escaping with this cupcake! How could I tell this sweet face no?

This week has been wonderfully uneventful! I keep hoping that my nesting instinct will kick in so I can get my house put together, but the more I think about cleaning, the more I just want to sit on the couch and do nothing...I got a much needed adjustment this week, and could actually sit up straight for the first time in months. It turns out I have been having diaphraghm spasms which explains the excruciating pain every time I try and sit up straight or turn a certain way. I can't wait to go back this week! Hannah had one pretty traumatic day, but all is well now. She woke up one morning crying and all she would say is my head hurts, my head hurts. When Russ tried to get her to walk or move around she refused and would just cry some more. So she spent most of the day lying on her dad.

Sweet, but heartbreaking. We got her into her amazing chiro, and we think she just kinked her neck pretty bad. She walked around looking like Frankenstein for a few more days, but I think she is all recovered!

We are down to two weeks! That sense of panic, and thoughts of "What the heck did I get myself into?" have been running through my mind. But I am more ready to not be pregnant anymore. I am sure that all mothers know that feeling well. We will be sure and keep everybody posted if anything exciting happens.

Chiro Baby!

Hannah is now learning to adjust!
