Easter Festivities

We had a wonderful Easter! We were lucky enough to spend it with most of Running Man's family. There were cousins, candy and eggs galore. The girls had a blast playing non stop with their cousins. They spent most of their time outside running around which kept the fighting to a minimum, and helped them sleep better than they ever had! I loved staying up late and spending hours having adult conversation. I haven't had that in a LONG time!
Now we are back to the daily grind of life and missing everyone. Running Man is busy with work and loving it. If you know anyone who needs a good Chiropractor I know a fabulous one. :)
Here's to some actual spring weather and no more morning sickness!!
We figured with 6 grandkids it would be safer to decorate eggs outside...great idea as far as clean up went, bad idea because we had 6 frozen children after.

The girls were happy the Easter Bunny found them at Grandma's house. Running Man and I were so happy that despite all of the hoopla they both remembered the real reason for the celebration. We have incredible girls and are so blessed to be their parents. Their testimonies amaze me and help keep me centered!

Hello's and Good-Bye's

It has been a whirlwind these last few weeks. A lot of happy times mixed in with some sad. We said good-bye to Running Man's Grandpa Meyer last week after his short battle with t-cell lymphoma. He was an incredible Father, Grandpa and and amazing Grandpa Great. My girls fell in love with him in the short time they've had to get to know him. He left an amazing legacy and has so many reasons to be proud of his posterity. We will miss him so much!

The family (minus one). It was great to be able to spend time with all of Running Man's family and to pay tribute to Grandpa Great.

On the happy side of things we were able to celebrate my sister's wedding this past weekend!
She married a super fun guy named Jose(pics of him to come soon) and we are so excited to have him be part of our family!

The girls had a fun time partying it up, and seeing the prince and princess! Em was in awe and at the reception wanted to go through the line about 20 times to see the prince and princess.

The girls dancing with their Prince! (That's what they call him more often than calling him Dad).

They played hard for three day straight with their cousins and I'm happy to report there was no bloodshed! Em is in LOVE with The Boy, and Banana couldn't get enough of all of them.
Now we are home recovering for a few days before we head back to Price to party a little more!
Despite all of the traveling we've been doing we managed to a little spring cleaning...Em style! I wonder where she learned that from? :)

On The Road Again

We had the chance this weekend to go to Idaho and visit Running Man's Grandparents! We had so much fun! The girls are in LOVE with both of them. Grandpa was just diagnosed with lymphoma, but he was in such good spirits and it was amazing to hear/feel of his testimony while we were there. We heard so many fun family history stories, ate a lot of good food, and the girls kept us all entertained! The girls were heartbroken when we had to leave and we can't wait to go back again soon!

The girls' favorite part was playing "restaurant" almost the whole time with Grandma's tea cabinet. She's had it since she was a little girl, and I'm happy to say my girls left it in one piece. :)Grandma is making put a disclaimer on this pic...she was on her way to get her hair done right when we were heading home but I needed just one more pic! And this pic turned out so cute that I'm glad I got her approval to put it on here!

On a parting note, I chopped off about 6 inches of hair this past weekend. It wasn't what I had planned on, but I'm excited about how it turned out. Now I'm just hoping to feel well enough soon to actually do it!

LLOONNGG

(This photo is mostly for Aunt Kyla and her love of 'staches)!

I'm so behind in my blogging! I blame it fully on this lame morning sickness. This pregnancy keeps faking me out...I have a few days where there is a glimmer of hope that I'm coming out of the worst of it, then the next day the toilet is (yet again) my closest friend. Aahh, the joys of my pregnancies. :) Despite feeling so yucky we have tried to still do as many fun family things as possible.
The first thing on our list was the awesome Princess Party my sister and the dance team she coaches throw. It was so cute and the girls had so much fun!

They had a lot of the "real" princesses there along with Tink (whose pixie dust is still stuck in Banana's hair), Fairy Godmother, a few princes and some yummy desserts! Banana thought she was in heaven. Em wanted nothing to do with the real princesses, but loved the cardboard cut-outs! Thanks to my super talented sis for putting together such a fun event!
We FINALLY had a decent snowstorm, so the girls were able to build a snowman. This winter has been lame-0 has far as snow goes. Here is the finished product!
Unfortunately he was pretty much melted by the end of the day. :(

For Banana's bday we gave her tickets to Disney on Ice and it did not disappoint. It was so much fun to watch the girls' faces each time a new character came out. And they thought our nose-bleed seats were perfect because they could see the whole ice rink!
Em has kept these ears on for the last few days and will only respond when we call her Mickey. Too cute.
To top off our fun few weeks we went to St. George with my sis and her family. Her generous friends own a vacation house that they let us use for a few days! We were able to go see Nana and Grandpa in Enterprise.
Banana and Em are in LOVE with them and did not want to leave. Nana spoiled them with their own My Little Pony's, lots of snacks, and even let them play with all of her stuffed animals! It was really nice to visit with them and hear some of the Terry family history stories.
We also stopped at the memorial for the Mountain Meadows Massacre. It was a pretty hike and fun to learn a little more about the event.

St. George has a few fun splash pads, and this fun faux river that we went back twice to play in. The first time we weren't so prepared so the girls got to play in their undies. :) We came back the next day in swimsuits and I didn't feel like such a bad mom!

The biggest event this weekend? Banana lost her first tooth!! It was a little traumatic for everyone because we didn't even know it was loose so we never prepared her for what was going to happen....Everything worked out though, and the tooth fairy left her a nice surprise. :)

This my friends is the reason for my lack of answering phone calls/txts and avoiding all other forms of human interaction. I don't hide pregnancy well (dang morning sickness), so it's finally time to share the exciting news!

Party Time

Here are a few highlights from Banana's big day!

She had a garden fairy party so we ate flower shaped sandwiches,
painted flower pots and planted some seeds,

had faces painted by the fairy queen (a.k.a. Aunt Cole),and caused a little destruction with the pinata. We tried to convince her to get a flower shaped one, but she wouldn't back down from getting the princess crown.
My grand plans for her cake fell through, but luckily Running Man came to the rescue and 1. calmed me down 2. decorated it for me.
Our favorite new bday tradition? Dinner and swimming at Little America. It's so fun for me to be able to share some of my favorite childhood memories/traditions with my kids!
