We made it! After a LoNg 20 hour drive we pulled into Price at 6:00 a.m. Only two hours later than we planned...We had no problems with the roads until we hit the mountain pass outside of Denver. I thought we were going to die. Not even exaggerating. That pass is usually bad when we travel it, but I've never seen anything like this. It was snowing, with winds somewhere around 40 mph, and lots of insane semi drivers. The snow was blowing so hard that I think the furthest we could see in front of us was two to four feet...for about two hours. It was dark outside so that didn't help the situation. It's a good thing that my hubby is such a good, calm driver in those situations. I was doing enough freaking out for the two of us. Despite it being three in the morning we were WIDE awake. I guess that's a blessing! We drove straight through with only small stops for gas and food. The girls did AMAZING. All of my worrying about miss em was for nothing. She slept pretty much the whole time. I think the longest she was ever awake was two hours, and even then she was pretty pleasant. I only had to climb into the baskseat about three times, for which I am grateful. Me, trying to get my body launched over the front seat, and squeezing into the tiny backseat is not such a pretty sight. I'm sure there were many entertained drivers passing us. I can't even describe what an awesome feeling it was to pull into Price and see the mountains. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the mountains. I love the midwest, but sorry it can't compete with the Utah Mtns. We are having a blast despite the tiny amount of sleep we have had. These are just a preview of the pics that show how much fun we are having!! Have a great holiday week!

I'm so glad you made it safely. We picked the only direction where we were driving AWAY from the nasty weather. And I know what you mean about mountains, even though the ones I love are on the other side of the country. Merry Christmas!
This made me so teary! Maybe because I know how good it feels to come home to the Mountains....I am glad you made it safe, hopefully I will see you!
Welcome Back! How long are you all staying for? We should go to lunch or something just to see eachother for real and not in pictures-as cute as they are! If you want to give me a call!
749-1498. If not I hope you have A Very Merry Christmas!!!
I'm glad you made it safely and that your kiddos handled the trip well. When (or if) you and Lindsay meet up, give me a call too! Lindsay and I can carpool or something. Oh wait... Lindsay is grounded from playing with friends until she gets her visiting teaching done. Sorry girls!
I'm glad you made it safe! Have a great Christmas.
Yea! I am excited that you made it. I kinda got a little teary too when I saw Nicole...talk to her almost daily but never get to see her. Have a Merry Christmas and maybe I'll see you this trip.
Yeah!!!! I am so glad to see you got home safely and that it was a pleasant experience, well as pleasant s that experience can be.
I am super jealous that you get to be home wit your family, but we are trying to make the most of it. We're supposed to get a bunch of snow tomorrow so hopefully that won't mess up our plans, but we'll see. Sorry about the mail, I really don't want you to stress over it. Alan is not stressed over getting it, so it's not a big deal. We will try and remember while we're out and about.
Merry Christmas, we miss you guys and Calvy misses his Hanna.
