We decided to brave the crowds last weekend and go trick or treating at the mall. Every year when it's over we tell ourselves we will never do that again, and by the time the next Halloween rolls around we've convinced ourselves it wasn't actually that bad. Ha! Banana and Em had a blast, but there were way too many people crowded into one little mall. (Mostly way too many quesitonable ppl). Gotta love D-port! We made away with two more buckets of candy and they are still sitting there mostly uneaten! Do you think food shelters take donations of candy? I've always wondered...

Banana and her CUTE friend Keann. He is such a great kid, and we love hanging out with him!
Running Man is supposed to be on break right now, but you wouldn't know it. Most of the ppl in in his pod at the clinic left so he kindly volunteered to pick up the slack...Which is great because it helps him get more adjustments. But mostly stinks because we don't get to spend any time with him on his break. He does get next monday off so we are thinking of leaving somewhere sunday night and doing something fun. Any suggestions of what we could do (on a budget), that wouldnt require driving too far? We really need a vacation!
We finally got around to carving a pumpkin and doing some more of our usual Halloween traditions. We made homemade suckers today and had Banana's favorite "jaggety lantern" pizza for dinner. I am hoping to make sugar cookies this week to take to our trick or treat party at the studio, and we are going to the trunk or treating at the church this weekend, followed by the parade! We have never braved the cold to go to the Halloween parade and figured we better take advantage of our last Halloween out here and go.

Banana LOVES getting the guts out of the pumpkin. I never would have thought that because she hates having her hands dirty...She was super proud of herself.

The girls and our jaggety lantern pizza!

I have also started kicking it in gear and getting myself in better shape. I don't think I'm out of shape, but I've reached the point where I wake up most days and struggle to find anything to wear that I feel great in, and don't want to get stuck with the winter blues. I'm grateful I am married to someone who is so motivated about exercise and nutrition because I think I would be in serious trouble! I used to have that same motivation but I think it kind of disappeared when the kids came along :) But no more!! Anyone who wants to join me please call because I love having work out buddies!
Banana always says she wants to be a chirorpactor like her dad, and today her and Em spent a good half an hour adjusting him! Here they are doing some leg checks! I love how much they pick up from being with me at my appts, and from hearing their dad talk about it. Throughout it all Banana kept telling him to take some deep breaths and relax. So stinking cute!
Have a very Happy Halloween weekend!!

Ahhh! That pizza is so cute and such a great idea. True confession: I meant all month to make the girls some Halloween bows and send them. ::sigh:: I'm now focusing on making Thanksgiving bows :)
There is a museum in Dub. We have been wanting to take Parker to, but haven't had the chance yet. There may also be an aquarium....
It is only an hour or so away...I am sure you can google it and get more info.
Love the pizza...I will have to remember that for Friday. Kids look cute in their costumes, too!
I'll work out with you! Just tell me when and where! :)
Here's my Halloween candy secret...
We check all of their candy before they can eat any of it, and we do it after they've gone to bed. Then we put half of it away to put in their stockings at Christmas. We just have to be sure that the pieces we save for Christmas don't have anything Halloween-ish on the wrappers.
I will totally go for walks with you if you want, especially since we live around the corner.
And my friend had a great idea about the candy. The Halloween fairy came and took it all away and left a little homemade broom for her son. Don't you love holiday fairies?
I'd love to work out with you, I need motivation too...one small problem (Logan vs. Iowa)! The girls look so cute in their costumes, I love Emma's! We are so excited to see you guys in just over a month! YEAH!!
